NEWSTEAD OFFICE COMPLEX Proposal

The focus of this office complex design was on the efficient facade shading system. With specifically angled aluminium panels attached to the east and west facade, direct sunlight was largely minimised to reduce the need for artificial air conditioning. The north and south facades were horizontally shaded by the overhangs above, to optimise natural light and again reduce the need for an artificial substitute. The criteria required a CLT structure, which in my design, has cut outs to increase communication and connection  between stories. For this same reason, a social roof top area was included.
